AthensDA Access Help

• If you are a new user, you need to request a new SSCS account to login to AthensDA. If you have any question about SSCS account, please check our account FAQ page.
   
• After login, click on "Economic and Social Data Service (ESDS)" on the right side of the page (under Favourite resources) to continue.
   
• Next you will see a page about Your account. Click on "Data Catalogue" under Your account to access the Data Catalogue search page.
   
• Please note that since AthensDA is a UK data archive, when you type in search words, you need to be aware of using British spelling if the word is different from American spelling. For example, if you search sexual behavior, you need to type "sexual behaviour" instead of "sexual behavior". If you type "sexual behavior," you will definitely get none!
   
• If you want to access AthensDA from off campus, you may try one of these:
   
  • Web Proxy.
  • SSD administrated departmental servers: Athens, Corinth, Cronus, and Rhodes. Please check our account FAQ page if you need help.
  • VPN.
  • Remote desktop. Please check help on how to set up remote desktop for Windows XP and Mac OS X.
