How do I Install the NSIT VPN client for Windows?
- Step 1 - If you are currently off campus, you will need to set up the NSIT Web Proxy Servers on your browser prior to attempting to download the VPN software.
- Step 2 - Download the VPN Software from http://licensing.uchicago.edu/download/proxy/vpn/export-windows.html.
- Step 3 - Double click on the downloaded file to unzip it to a directory. Click on the Unzip button in the dialog box to continue.
- Step 4 - Open the folder where the files were unzipped, in this case C:\temp.
You can do this simply by typing C:\temp into an Internet Explorer address bar.
- Step 5 - Double click on setup.exe to start the installation. A dialog box called Cisco Systems VPN Client Setup shows up. Click on the Next button in the dialog box.
- Step 6 - Read the License Agreement if you want, to continue click the Yes button in the dialog box .
- Step 7 - Click the Next button to continue.
- Step 8 - Click the Next button to continue.
- Step 9 - Click on Finish to restart your system.
- Step 10 - Continue by Configuring your VPN Client.
