Configure Outlook 2016 for Mac after Office 365 Migration

 

Here's how to configure Outlook 2016 for Apple Mac to use with Office 365. 

  1. In Outlook, click the Outlook menu in the uppermost menu bar.
  2. Click Preferences and select Accounts.

  3. Select your U of C email account in the left hand cloumn.  Click on the Advanced button.

  4. For the Microsoft Exchange Server address, type outlook.office365.com and click the OK button. Outlook server address_0.png
  5. The Shibboleth login screen may appear. If it does, enter your CNetID (for example, wrharper not wrharper@uchicago.edu) and password, and click Login.

  6. After you log in with Shibboleth, a confirmation screen will show your new University of Chicago account. 
  7. You have now successfully configured your Outlook program to connect to the Office 365 server, and you should be able to begin receiving and sending new email. If you encounter any problems contact Social Sciences Computing by emailing sscstech@lists.uchicago.edu or by calling 4-4146.
