Available Software

The Social Sciences Division maintains access for several software packages both free and commercially licensed for use by Faculty, Staff, and Students.

Software distributed via our Shared Software folder on Box requires that you are logged in to Box with your University of Chicago identity. If you are logged in to Box with an identity outside of the Uchicago.edu domain you may get a message that you don’t have authorization to view the folder. To fix this, log out and log back in with your University credentials.

EasyVNC (Linux) [↓]

EasyVNC is provided by SSCS to make it easier to use computational resources such as Athens, Acropolis, or Cronus.  It can be downloaded from Box while logged into a valid University of Chicago account. For more information read the FAQ on EasyVNC.
